Hi, I’m Kala — a family photographer, homeschooling mama of five, and someone who never planned to be behind the camera professionally. What began as a personal Project 365 (one photo a day for a year) slowly grew into something I never expected — and never could have planned on my own.

In many ways, photography was always around me. My grandpa carried a camera everywhere we went — capturing all of our moments, big and small. At the time, I didn’t realize the impact of that simple habit, but now I see how much those everyday snapshots mean. Maybe that’s where the seed was planted — the quiet, steady way he documented our lives.

Years later, after my son was born, my dad bought me my first "real" camera and I started capturing one photo a day. Somewhere in the middle of that project, people began asking me to photograph their families too. I’ve never marketed or chased after growth — I’ve simply shown up, and by God’s grace, you’ve shown up too. Every recommendation, every kind word, every tag or share — it means the world to me, and I don’t take it for granted.

Life around here is full and often chaotic (homeschooling five kids will do that!), but in the middle of it all, I love capturing the real, honest, in-between moments of family life — the quiet glances, the loud laughter, the love that lives in the details.

I’m not building a brand — I’m just following God’s lead and capturing your beautiful life moments along the way. With being a full-time mom my time is limited right now, but I’m here for what He brings.
